Position Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-level Human Resources & Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is perfect for individuals eager to begin their career in HR or accounting. The Human Resources & Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting various administrative tasks and support to ensure the seamless operation of our HR & Accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting:

o Process invoices, payments, and expense reports with accuracy.

o Assist in reconciling bank statements and company accounts.

o Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databases.

o Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on payments.

o Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks.

o Generate reports and help with month-end closing procedures.

o Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment discrepancies.

  • Human Resources:

o Support payroll processing by verifying timesheets and employee records.

o Provides support to operations on any questions relating to the HCM platform, and initial follow-up to location management on WC, GL, and workplace investigations

o Supports staffing process, including ATS and new hire onboarding.

o Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll and HR policies or directs them to the appropriate person

o

  • Special Projects:

o Collaborates with Accounting and HR department heads to support overall company goals and objectives.

o Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.

o Light office cleaning and organization.

o Occasional off-site errands (e.g., lunch pickup, supply runs).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
